New Generation is an idea that Makrokosmos has always had in his mind.

 

The previous experiences working with young composers at the past, whether in Royaumont, Berne, Hong Kong or Turkey have shown us the incredibly rewarding potentials that new generations have. 

That's why, as a contemporary music ensemble with the goal of promoting contemporary music, we have decided to contribute to their musical life and their success by commissioning some pieces for two pianos and two percussions. 

The choice was hard among many other great and compromising composers, but the diversity of different cultures, mentalities and personalities played a very important role in our choices. 

We let you discover these young talents: Joan Magrané Figuera, Naoki Sakata, Emre Sihan Kaleli and Eunho Chang, through this project which is very exciting for Makrokosmos Quartet.
